Prechem SBR 5550

Styrene-butadiene co-polymer Prechem SBR 5550; is an aqueous dispersion that is ready for use and stable around electrolytes. It doesn't contain any plasticizers, solvents, or ammonia and has an anionic/non-ionic emulsifier system. Prechem SBR 5550 was primarily created to adhere to project budgetary restrictions. It is a water-based dilution of a thickener-modified pure SBR emulsion.

    • SURFACE PREPARATION


    Prechem SBR 5550 should be added as directed to premeasured water in a suitable container to create a bonding slurry coat. Using a paddle mixer-equipped slow speed drill machine, gradually add cement and thoroughly mix. As an Additive, it is advised to use a paddle-equipped low-speed drill or a forced action mixer. Where necessary, weigh the cement and sand into the mixer and dry combine the mixture for one minute. Add clean water and the pre-mixed Prechem SBR 5550 while the machine is running. To ensure complete dispersion into the sand cement mix, continue mixing for an additional three minutes. Any slight change to the amount of clean water is acceptable, but do not considerably go over the dosage indicated below. Mix ingredients until a homogeneous mixture is produced.




    PRODUCT PREPARATION


    5-7 m2/Ltr/Coat as a clean bonding agent. The texture and porosity of the substrate affect the actual coverage. A dosage of 10 to 20% by weight of cement may be used as an additive for tile adhesives, bedding mortars, sand-cement renders, plasters, and screeds. For the best outcome, the recommended mix design should be followed if it is included in a mix design.
